1963 chevy impala for sale, good interior and headliner, needs rugs. Paintserviceable, original color with a repaint 20 years ago but needs paint, bodystraight and rust free with all the trim. Needs all the rubber seals aroundwindows, doors and trunk but glass all good. All lights good, and now the good. All the mechanicals new. Engine is a vintage '62327 c. With complete rebuild. Bored 40 over with new pistons and rings, crankcut 10 under and line bored with new main bearings and rod bearings. New mildstreet cam with new cam bearings, lifters, roller rockers, reground valves andnew springs on double hump heads. Early intake manifold with a demon 750 carbwith electric choke. Rams head exhaust manifolds with new exhaust to back ofrear tire. Engine estimated by rebuilder to be approx. 320 hp. New champion 3core alum. Radiator and shroud and all new hoses and water pump. With resurfaced flywheel and new 11" clutch and pressure plateand throw out bearing, itt floor shifter, new seals on shifter shafts and frontseal and bearing and new rear seal, new drive shaft universals and centerbearing and support and new rear seal. New front wheel bearings, and new rearaxle bearings with seals, new brakes with wheel cylinders and new tires. Newshocks on front and new air shocks on rear. Undercarriage pressure washed andpainted, new engine mounts front and rear tranny mount with engine compartmentcleaned and painted when motor was out for the change over from 6cyl. All in alla nice little hot rod that has all it's original flavor. Keep the way it isand finish the little stuff or get wild, this car will go either way. I have thesame car in red with a 409, can't keep 2 cars so this needs to go. Niceriding and handling car for cruises and cruise ins. Get those thumbs up on thehighways.

The charger is proof that american carmakers have learned that they can no longer market shoddy design and haphazard assembly. To that end, the dodge charger is a proud product of the new detroit. It's handsomely designed and has world-class fit and finish. From crankshaft to door handles, everything operates with fine precision and the promise of long-lasting service.  the dodge charger was redesigned for the 2011 model year, and there are no significant changes for the 2012 charger except that a new 2012 dodge charger srt8 has been added to the model lineup. The 2012 charger is the second year of the second generation of the modern charger. The first generation ran 2006-2010. The original was launched as a '66. The general lee bo and luke duke drove was a '69.  from the outside, this second-generation charger looks a lot like an older rendering of the american sedan, but that appearance is misleading. The retro look is a self-confident exercise in sinuous american styling.  the interior, however, is anything but old style. The front says it's a dodge, a design theme that began life on, of all things, the upright first-generation dodge ram pickup truck. The two vehicles could not be more different, yet the aggressive, muscular cruciform grille suits both perfectly. Achieving that kind of unmistakable model-line identity is no small achievement.  in like manner, the tail of the charger uses the same array of full-width taillamps made famous on the charger in the '60s. 2012 volkswagen beetle review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. It does this in a big way, with a clean-sheet redesign that makes it new again. It's the new beetle, not a new beetle.  the 2012 volkswagen beetle jumps like a bug on a skillet from its heritage. It's 7. 3 inches longer, 0. 5 inches lower, and 3. 3 inches wider than the 2010 new beetle, last one made. The stretch morphs it into a real car, not so much a cute little thing. It looks good with more dynamic proportions. It's still unmistakably vw beetle.  the coefficient of drag, 0. 37, is surprisingly good, although not near the lower (by 2 inches) honda civic, at 0. 315, or the smaller ford fiesta at 0. 33. Interior volume has grown by 5 percent, from 81 to 85 cubic feet. The roof is lower, but because it's also longer, there's a bit more rear headroom. In the front, it gains 1. 9 inches in legroom and 2. 5 inches in shoulder room, making the 2012 beetle feel less like a capsule.  the front legroom is 0. 7 inches more than that in the all-new 2012 toyota yaris, but the beetle's rear seat has just 31. 4 inches of legroom, which is 1. 9 inches less than the yaris, on a wheelbase that's 1. 1 inches longer.  the trunk of the 2012 beetle is spacious at 15. 4 cubic feet. With the rear seat folded it's nearly 30 cubic feet, and the high-swinging hatchback enables giant things to fit inside, making the beetle handy for hauling.  the seats and trim are neat but not fancy. The bucket seats are clean, simple, and comfortable, with excellent bolstering.  instrumentation is so clean it's memorable for its rarity. In the center of the big clear speedometer there's a multi-function digital display, accessed with a flick of the driver's right thumb, scrolling a small wheel on the steering wheel. It makes for safe driving!  the 2. 5-liter inline five-cylinder engine, with an iron block and double overhead cams, is carried over from the new beetle, but the horsepower increases by 20, to 170 hp. Torque increases by seven foot-pounds, to 177 foot-pounds at 4250 rpm. It's mated to a standard 5-speed manual gearbox, or optional 6-speed automatic transmission that didn't wow us. We've driven a vw golf with that 5-speed manual transmission, which is satisfying and gives the car pep from 0 to 60. We recommend the manual.  acceleration in the 2. 5l is adequate, and 75 mph on the freeway is smooth and mostly effortless. The 6-speed manual automatic transmission isn't as much fun as the manual, especially with this engine. The automatic's side-to-side semi-manual shifting using the lever at the floor was better than nothing, but not very racy.  a 2. 0-liter turbo model is also available that comes with a 6-speed manual transmission and a different rear suspension. The turbocharged engine makes 207 horsepower and 217 pound-feet of torque at a low 1700 rpm, and it gets about the same fuel mileage although on high-test gas. It's a 2. 0-liter turbodiesel with direct injection, making 236 pound-feet of torque. The engine has been used successfully for some time in the golf and jetta tdi.  the chassis is rigid and the body solid, with subframes front and rear, supporting the suspension. The rear uses a torsion beam, although the beetle turbo uses a more sophisticated multi-link, for the higher threshold of cornering. The freeway ride in the beetle doesn't suffer for the torsion beam. It's comfortable and consistent. Potholes don't hurt, but rough pavement can make the rear end of the car want to dance. lineupthere is a stripped-down beetle 18,995), but good luck finding one. It uses the 170-horsepower 2. 5-liter inline 5-cylinder engine and 5-speed manual transmission. It comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, front and rear disc brakes, power windows, cruise control, leather steering wheel, cloth seats, 50/50 split folding rear seat, trip computer, and 8-speaker sound system.  the 2012 beetle 2. 5l 19,795) adds body-colored mirrors, v-tex leatherette seating, 6-way manual seats with lumbar, heated front seats, a second glovebox, bluetooth and mdi (media device interface). A 6-speed automatic transmission is available 20,895). Options include heated front seats, three-color interior ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, 18-inch alloy wheels, and fender audio system.  the beetle is available as a panoramic sunroof model with added features such as keyless entry and touch-screen radio. It's available with manual 22,295) or automatic 23,395). The 6-speed dsg dual-clutch automatic-manual transmission 24,495) is available. The beetle turbo comes standard with bluetooth, ipod connectivity, three-color ambient lighting, larger brakes with red calipers, second glovebox, sport seating surfaces, 18-inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler, foglights, three additional gauges, and alloy pedals. It makes 140 horsepower with a fat 236 pound-feet of torque, using either the 6-speed manual or 6-speed dsg. That's how the silhouette of the beetle changes, by making it 7. 3 inches longer, 3. 3 inches wider, and 0. 5 inches lower. The new shape is more dynamic and muscular; gone is the cuteness, although not the identity. Its coefficient of drag is 0. 37, a good number that still lags behind some competitors, and reveals the legacy of a round bug. The sleek 2012 honda civic, for example, comes in at 0. 315.  looking head-on at the new beetle, it's wide and chubby enough that the lines are actually horizontal. A narrow black mouth under the bumper spans the face like a pinched grin, under perky headlamps like eyes, and a hood seam that seems to define a wide nose, having one chrome nostril with vw in it.  at profile, the good-looking roofline is like a stylish tight arc, with roadster lines tracing to a 2005 concept car called the ragster, that had the look of a chopped-top hot rod.  the wheel cutouts are perfect semi-circles dropping down toward the pavement. In contrast to the smooth curves of sheetmetal everywhere else, the fender flares have squared edges, offering contrasting definition to the shape.  the beetle might be called a hatchback. The rear gate is massive. No compromises to the car's shape, for the utility of cargo loading. It's like the old bug, in a welcome way.  there's a decent amount of room inside the 2012 beetle, 85 cubic feet. Rear headroom, and front legroom and shoulder room is more than that in the new beetle, so it doesn't feel so much like a capsule. But it's not so roomy in the rear, with just 31. 4 inches of legroom, which is 1. 9 inches less than in the yaris, despite the beetle being nearly 14 inches longer. However, that excess length is mostly overhang; the beetle wheelbase is only 1. 1 inches longer than the yaris.  the 2012 beetle trunk has grown to a spacious 15. 4 cubic feet, a whopping increase of 27 percent over the new beetle; and with the 60/40 rear seat folded, there's a vast 29. 9 cubic feet behind the front seats. The rear trunk lid is like a hatchback or wide liftgate, so giant things can fit inside. With the dear old vw bug, there would have been no way, for even one of them.  there's good visibility out the front and rear, even with the low roof and high beltline. And it's a quiet ride. For example the extra glovebox, called the kaeferfach or beetle bin. For sure the simplicity of the instrument pan. Inside and out, the new look is best described as more modern, but not so much so as to spoil the pt's toy-hot-rod fun.  chrysler pt cruiser combines the retro look of late-'30s american iron with modern performance, efficiency and features. It doesn't fit within existing automotive marketing segments.  the pt cruiser is based on the dodge neon, a compact car noted for sprightly performance. It comes in two body styles, a versatile five-door model and a two-door convertible.  the five-door model's tall body boasts lots of room for people and cargo. In fact, its interior volume and versatility compare well to a small suv. Yet the pt cruiser is shorter in length than a neon, making it easy to park. The lower-level models are competitively priced, and we think they make the most sense.  pricier turbocharged models add fire under the hood. For 2006, the fire has been turned up to 230 horsepower in the gt model. A more affordable 180-horsepower turbo is also available.  the convertible is one of the least expensive on the market. The gt also comes with side-impact airbags, a power glass sunroof, and most of the limited's luxury goodies. Leather sport seats are also standard. Yet with 63 inches from the pavement to the highest point of its roof, the cruiser sedan is also 7 inches taller than the neon, and nearly as tall as some minivans. That height is a crucial element of the pt cruiser's design.  the design of the convertible is quite a bit different from that of the sedan. The convertible looks shorter than the sedan, but isn't; maybe it's the single long door on each side that creates this illusion. It's certainly lower, by almost 3 inches, which certainly alters the looks. But there's a lot more to it than that: close examination reveals that the windshield is raked more radically and uses a different a-pillar design. With the top up, the convertible looks like a custom chopped-top hot rod. Pretty cool.  drop the top and the gangstermobile turns into a chick car. With its top down, the pt cruiser convertible's high tail and integrated sport bar remind us of the old volkswagen cabrio. But where the vw's side windows sealed against its sport bar, the chrysler's windows seal against each other for a more modern convertible profile. Its slightly narrower and color-keyed sport bar sits behind the windows, inside the car, and is aerodynamically designed to minimize wind noise. A nice boot is provided that dresses up the appearance with the top down. Less obvious improvements for 2006: all instruments are now bigger, the radio is mounted higher, the glovebox is larger, and the glovebox door is now damped.  the driver still faces three white-faced gauges set in individual cylinders, with speedometer center, tachometer right and fuel and water temperature left. The gt's silver-faced speedometer reads up to 140 mph, while the standard cruiser's speedo goes to 120. Window switches are still high in the center stack, inconvenient for quick operation, forcing the driver to search for them. The door levers have a nice action, and the switches operate with good tactile feel, though they're not world class. The standard stereo sounds tinny; we haven't tried the new boston accoustics system. Also, there's a separate set button for the station presets, fussier than simply holding the preset down.  a bonus of the cruiser's tall profile is its upright seating position, with a fairly high view ahead, somewhat like a sport-utility vehicle or minivan. The gt also features a leather wrapped steering wheel with satin-silver spokes, and bright accents on the pedals.  a redesigned center console now incorporates a sliding armrest, replacing the seat-mounted armrests provided previously. The new console also includes a covered tray for concealing small items, a storage bin that holds six cds, a new coin holder and fold-out cup holders for rear-seat coffee.

The charger is proof that american carmakers have learned that they can no longer market shoddy design and haphazard assembly. To that end, the dodge charger is a proud product of the new detroit. It's handsomely designed and has world-class fit and finish. From crankshaft to door handles, everything operates with fine precision and the promise of long-lasting service.  the dodge charger was redesigned for the 2011 model year, and there are no significant changes for the 2012 charger except that a new 2012 dodge charger srt8 has been added to the model lineup. The 2012 charger is the second year of the second generation of the modern charger. The first generation ran 2006-2010. The original was launched as a '66. The general lee bo and luke duke drove was a '69.  from the outside, this second-generation charger looks a lot like an older rendering of the american sedan, but that appearance is misleading. The retro look is a self-confident exercise in sinuous american styling.  the interior, however, is anything but old style. The front says it's a dodge, a design theme that began life on, of all things, the upright first-generation dodge ram pickup truck. The two vehicles could not be more different, yet the aggressive, muscular cruciform grille suits both perfectly. Achieving that kind of unmistakable model-line identity is no small achievement.  in like manner, the tail of the charger uses the same array of full-width taillamps made famous on the charger in the '60s. It's a handsome look that is instantly recognizable to anyone familiar with historic dodge styling cues. The charger expresses pride in where dodge, chrysler corporation, and for that matter, all american cars have been during the last few turbulent decades.  the body of the second-generation modern charger is crisply styled throughout. It is considerably edgier and more muscular than its immediate predecessor, which had great promise but was, by comparison, a bit of a lump. Along the sides of the car are slanting, angular indentations that echo the racy rear-facing engine-room vents made so famous on the all-conquering dodge viper supercar. In the charger, these are unmistakably bad looking in all of the right street-savvy ways.  continuing this street look, in profile, the car's dramatically low roofline tapers downward rapidly at the car's mid-point. In combination with its high waistline and compressed greenhouse, the car expresses a secretive, almost hot-rod chopped appearance. Occupants seem to peer outward from sinister gun slit-like windows. Yet for all of its hunched-over appearance, the occupants' outward visibility is quite good enough.  when the charger's dynamic outward appearance is combined with its strong performance, this is an american muscle sedan with the credentials to appeal to a broad range of tastes. interiorexamining the charger's interior, we started in the back seat to investigate just how limited seating room might be underneath this low roofline. Inevitably, tall backseat passengers will have to scrunch down a little, though moderately tall riders will be just fine. The rear cabin is comfortable and roomy without being huge. The top of the backlight has multi-linear applique black stripes, providing a bit of shade from the sun and simultaneously creating the impression from outside that the rear window is even lower and more hooded.  the rear seat is firm and supportive, with a fairly hard back-cushion.
